How it works

  • If your are interested in the scheme you will be asked to complete an expression of interest. A housing officer will then make contact with you to discuss the your property and the scheme.
  • The Housing Officer will then discuss the property internally after completing a triage at the property and inform you of the decision.

  • If the property has been accepted on to the scheme and works are required, you will have the opportunity to apply for an incentive grant. You can see the minimum standards here.
  • If the property is accepted on to the scheme the landlord will enter into an agreement for lease which is a lease between the landlord and SLA RCT that includes target dates.
  • After the landlord advises the Housing officer that works are complete (if any) the public health inspector will re visit to ensure the works have been completed to the standard that is required by Welsh Government.

  • Once all works are completed and legal documents signed we will collect the keys and manage the property for 5 years.
